Cal State L.A. University Police Department seeks your assistance as it investigates a Monday evening incident.

Summary:

On Monday, June 6, 2011, at approximately 9:47 p.m., the victim was walking south on the main walkway, between the new Facilities/Corporate Yard construction site and Parking Structure B. The victim was heading towards the bus stop on Circle Drive when he was approached from behind and asked for the time by suspect #1, a male. As the victim turned around to answer suspect #1, he was suddenly sprayed with an unknown chemical agent in the face. Suspect #1 grabbed the victimís laptop case and suspect #2 grabbed the victimís backpack. The victim fell to the ground and was able to hold onto his backpack while suspect #3 hit him in the back several times. All three suspects then fled southbound and out of sight with the victimís property.

The victim received minor physical injuries as a result of the incident. He was treated at the scene by paramedics, was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and released.

Three Male/Hispanic/Adults—approximately 20-years old; no further description available.

Weapons:

Unknown chemical agent; hands; feet.

Location:

Main walkway, south end of campus between the new Facilities/Corporate Yard construction site and Parking Structure B.
