As a current resident, you have priority to select a space for 2014-2015 through Room Selection. Don’t miss this opportunity to save your space even if you are not sure of your plans.


WHAT IS ROOM SELECTION?

Room Selection gives current residents an opportunity to select their room for summer and/or next year before we assign prospective residents. This is a process that will occur April 14-23, 2014.

WHAT ARE THE CRITERIA TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN ROOM SELECTION?

Room Selection, as easy as 1, 2, 3...
  1. Complete online the Student Housing License Agreement for 2014-2015 and pay the initial fee.

The License Agreement is available on the Housing Student Portal. As a returning student you will be asked to pay $140.00 as part of the License Agreement. $100.00 of this fee will be applied to rent for the 2014-15 academic year, $40.00 is an application fee. Financial aid recipients are expected to use their own funds for the $140 initial payment and any excess funds will be refunded during the scheduled financial aid disbursement dates as published in the class schedule.

  1. Attend your Room Selection Appointment. (Appointments will be sent to you via your CSULA email account)

Appointments will be given out according to the “Occupancy Term” you selected on your License Agreement.  The Occupancy Term is the period of time you wish to live on-campus (Summer Only, or Summer-Spring, or Fall-Spring). 

  1. Make your first payment by May 16, 2014.

    Financial Aid Recipients: Students expecting aid must make the payment of the cost difference (from your aid, subtract tuition cost and housing cost = cost difference due by deadline).

ALL residents must submit a new Tuberculosis Verification Form. (Every year, the test must be taken and a new form submitted)

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your housing/meal plan contract with at least 30 day written notice prior to the beginning of the quarter. Of the $140.00 initial fee paid, the $40.00 application fee is non-refundable. Cancellation fee may apply after occupancy.

Don’t Forget: Your contract ends as of 2pm on June 14, 2014. All residents will be required to check out (move out all belongings and return keys) by 2pm on June 14, 2014 unless you are contracted to live with us for the Summer 2014.

If you are staying for summer quarter and have been confirmed for a new space, you must be available on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 to transfer to your new apartment.
