Residential Apartments

University Student Housing offers 192 fully furnished apartments in Phase I and II. Each apartment has a large living room and dining area as well as a private bathroom with shower. Kitchens include all major appliances. Each bedroom is equipped with two or three beds, desks and closets/armoire.


Phase I

The Phase I complex consists of 92, 2-bedroom apartments. A centrally located community center houses the Residence Life Office, a game room, academic center, and laundry facilities. The Residence Life Office coordinates the many programs and resources which enhance the unique experience of university community living.

Phase II

The Phase II complex consists of five buildings (pods). Each pod includes eight, 2-bedroom apartments and 12, 4-bedroom apartments. Every pod has its own laundry facility for resident use. The Housing Administration office and Community Information Desk are located in the Phase II Community Center. A Meeting Room and Lounge provide the setting for a variety of our events and activities as well as a place for you to relax.

Golden Eagles Apartments
For Graduate and Upper Division Students

At the Golden Eagles Apartments (GEA) we offer mostly 2-bedroom apartments (singles in each bedroom), 3-bedroom suite (singles in each bedroom) with no living room and a couple of 1-bedroom apartments (2 people in the bedroom). Each unit has a kitchen, bathroom and living room (unless noted). Kitchens include all major appliances and each bedroom is equipped with a bed, closet and desk, per person.

There is a laundry facility and a multi-purpose room at GEA. Parking spaces at GEA are limited within GEA. Street parking is available with and without parkring permits.

First Year Residential Experience

First year students will be assigned to buildings designated specifically for them. The Resident Assistants and Resident Life Coordinators will focus on acclimating students to the University community with an emphasis on academic achievement and leadership development. 

English Language Program & International Housing 

A number of apartments in Phase I are designated for students enrolled in the English Language Program (ELP) or International Program.  ELP students will be assigned with matriculated CSULA students to -promote cross cultural awareness and enhance their learning through practical experience.

Resident Scholars Housing

The goal of the Resident Scholars Housing is to provide CSULA Honors College and academically achieving students with themed housing that supports the mission and vision of the Honors College and the Institutional Learning Outcomes by:

Single occupancy rooms may be requested by students with documented disabilities as supported by the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD).
