TRANSFER TO DO LIST

I.       Application Process

Submit University Application on-line: http://www.csumentor.edu (mark yes on screen 10 on the CSU application for an EOP application)

    1. •      EOP recommendation forms (CSULA requires two forms)
    2. •      Mail unofficial transcripts to EOP

Once the CSU application is received, a CIN (campus ID number) & PIN (personal ID number) will be mailed to you, which can be used to obtain CSLA info on your GET (Golden Eagle Territory) web page

Submit final transcripts to SA 101; GE certification

II.    Financial Aid:

File FAFSA on-line (http://www.fafsa.ed.gov) early (January) Cal Grant (apply by March 2, 2014)

Review SAR (Student Aid Report)

Review Financial Aid award on GET:

    1. •      Go to Student Services Home
    2. •      Check Finances
    3. •      View “My Financial Aid”
    4. •      Select aid year to view (if no aid to view) return to main menu and select “Personal Portfolio Home,” then check “To Do List”

Review requested documents by Financial Aid Office

    1. •      Download forms from the Financial Aid Website (http://www.calstatela.edu/univ/finaid/index.htm)
    2. •      Photocopy and submit requested forms and documents to the Financial Aid Office in SA 124 Sign and return Financial Aid award letter immediately upon receipt

Continue to monitor GET for Financial Aid updates

III. Confirm Admissions and EOP Status:

(EOP Admissions: 323-343-3215 / CSLA Admissions: 323-343-3901) Make an appointment with your EOP Counselor

Provide unofficial transcripts to your EOP Counselor

Check G.E.T. (website: http://get.calstatela.edu) (helpline: 323-343-7438)

    1. •      Check Personal Portfolio Home
    2. •      View Holds and “To Do List”

IV.  Registration:

Purchase a Schedule of Classes and a University Catalog at the University Bookstore (both also located on-line)

Submit Orientation Application as soon as you receive brochure (expect it early May/June) Pay Fees:  ID, Parking, WPE, Registration and Orientation fees

Take ID photo (Golden Eagle Card)

If applicable, see Health Center for health clearance Speak with your EOP Counselor

Visit your department advisor and pick up major program

Develop a two-year Educational Plan with the assistance of your major advisor  On your Orientation Day bring a set of unofficial transcripts for advisors to review
