Teaching and Research Interests

I am always interested in curriculum development especially as it applies to differentiated instruction. I have designed several units and curriculas.

I have an on-going interest in brain research and education learning theories and their practical applications within a classroom. I think of myself as an educational engineer, a praticioner in search of practical implications of research and theories on learning.

I am also interested in the appropriate application of technology within a classroom as a “smart tool” that enhances learning. In other words how can computers, CBLs (calculator based labs) PDA (Personal Digital Assistants) and the like make our students smarter.
