Library Services for the Los
County High School for the Arts
The Cal State LA University Library is proud
the home for one of our nation's top Arts High Schools,
the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA)
LACHSA offices (and entrance) are located at the SE
corner of the library's north wing.
Access to Library
LACHSA (aka: Arts High) students may utilize the University Library's
services and resources, with most of the same privileges as CSULA undergraduate
students. Available services include use of the library's equipment (computers, photocopiers, etc.); access to research assistance at the reference desk; and use of library study spaces. Arts High students have
access to most library collections including: the main book collection,
periodicals, reference materials, and online databases.
Arts High students are issued a special I.D. card, and may use it to borrow
books from the University Library. Book borrowing privileges for Arts High students are the same as those given to Cal State LA Undergraduates.

Library Orientation Sessions
LACHSA teachers may request to have a library orientation session given to
their class. An orientation session will provide a general overview of the
library including the location of materials and collections, instruction on how
to use the library catalog to find materials, etc.
If you would like to
arrange a session for your class, please complete our online
Library Instruction Request Form and in the comments box, be sure to indicate
that you are requesting a LACHSA orientation session.
