Library Services for the Los
County High School for the Arts
Access to Library
LACHSA students may utilize the University Library's
services and resources, with most of the same privileges as CSULA undergraduate
students. Available services include use of the library's equipment (computers, photocopiers, etc.); access to research assistance at the reference desk; and use of library study spaces.
LACHSA students have
access to most library collections including: the main book collection,
periodicals, reference materials, and online databases.
LACHSA students are issued a special I.D. card, and may use it to borrow
books from the University Library. Book borrowing privileges for LACHSA students are the same as those given to Cal State LA Undergraduates.
LACHSA students ~ Using the University Library is as easy as 1-2-3 . . .
1. Print this form and have your parent(s) sign it
2. Bring your school I.D. card + the completed form to the library circulation desk (library
north, 1st floor)
3. After you have completed Step 2, go to the ITS help desk (library south entrance) to get a
Guest Network/E-mail account. This is your computer login & password that you will use
to access computers in the library.

Information for LACHSA Teachers
at LACHSA have the same "Access to Library Services" as noted above,
and the "Borrowing Privileges" for Arts High teachers are the same as
those given to CSULA staff.
Library Orientation Sessions
LACHSA teachers may request to have a library orientation session given to
their class. An orientation session will provide a general overview of the
library including the location of materials and collections, instruction on how
to use the library catalog to find materials, etc.
If you would like to
arrange a session for your class, please complete our online
Library Instruction Request Form and in the comments box, be sure to indicate
that you are requesting a LACHSA orientation session.
