Customer Service Principles
of the University Library

Our customers (such as students, potential students, parents and guardians, faculty, administrators, colleagues, co-workers and the community) are valued as people, and shown courteous and concerned attention to their unique needs.

As a user-centered organization, we ensure that our customers find value in the services and knowledge resources we provide by focusing our attention on their research needs.

Our service-providers (staff, faculty, administrators, and student assistants) are knowledgeable about Library services and understand how their participation impacts our ability to provide excellent services and knowledge resources. We work as a team to provide our customers with responses to their requests in a timely and efficient manner.

We work with our co-workers, other campus units, and community partners to continuously improve resources, processes, and services.
