Classroom Technology Self Help Tips

This web page provides basic instructions on use of the equipment in classrooms, and tips to troubleshoot problems.

Contact your ITC to make an appointment for classroom technology training.
First, make sure that the source on the Extron Controller is set to PC.Next, click VCR/ DVD, then back to PC. Finally, if the display still does not work, turn off the PC and turn it back on. If it is still not working, report the problem to the ITS Help Desk.
If pressing Power on the Extron Controller does not work, report the problem to the ITS Help Desk.
If using sound from a laptop or PC, make sure that the volume from the device is turned up. If the sound volume is up, then make sure the correct input is selected on the Extron Controller and turn the nob to get more audio. If it is still not working, report the problem to the ITS Help Desk.
Make sure you are using the correct video player, the video being played is compatible with the video player and the Flash player is up-to-date. Contact your department ITC for further assistance.
