INTRODUCTION

I have been a part of CSULA family since Fall 2010, and it has been a challenging and rewarding experience. Before coming to CSULA, I taught and did research at Rutgers University and Lafayette College. My expertise is in dynamics and controls of complex systems (such as biological systems, fuel and solar cells, energy systems, robots, vehicles, aircraft, flexible structures). My goal is to inspire and motivate my students to explore and master area of dynamics and controls.

TEACHING INTERESTS

I have had several years of teaching experience. My teaching interests are in the areas of dynamics, nonlinear dynamics, engineering mathematics, undergraduate and graduate level controls, nonlinear and intelligent control systems, and optimal control. I am interested in educational methods for engineering students, especially teaching advanced and modern topics to undergraduate students. In addition to teaching theoretical courses, I have enjoyed the development of undergraduate control systems and mechatronics laboratories.
