Well, another year of aero design competition is finally over. Cal State L.A.'s team placed 9th overall. We lifted 16.4 lbs and have the distinction of being #1 among the teams from California, ahead of one-time 2nd place winner UC Davis, and first-timer Cal State Fullerton.
I have enclosed the official final results as well as a team picture from the three-day contest. For more information and pictures, please visit the SAE website.
Our sincere thanks from all the team members and myself for all the help received over the course of the year. The contest was fun, exciting, dusty, windy, hot and, in general, an adrenaline rush. We learned *ALOT* and, in fact, are already hard at work on a design for next year.
In order to keep you all better informed and up-to-date, myself and another team member are currently working on a monthly newsletter which will feature progress reports and pictures. Our hope is that this will enable all of us to be on the same page all the time.
