This program was really fun and a great experience. I was able to go out a lot, meet fantastic people, and work at the same time. It’s an experience I would never trade for the world. It seems like I’ve known these people forever, and we’re like one family. I extremely appreciate all the hard work that was put into planning and running this program.

What did you think about living in your apartment?
My apartment is great. My roommates are fun to hang around with, and we have a lot of fun.
What did you learn from being in an apartment with other people?
I learned the different styles of living from my roommates. I was also able to learn how to cook some of their food.
Describe what you did and learned at your summer work site.
At my worksite, Northrop Grumman Space Technology, I learned quite a bit. I mainly focused on System Engineering, with computer programming. I read a Systems Engineering Course to get an idea of the use of the program I was going to be helping create. I then had to learn the computer language C#, which is a combination of C+, Java, and Visual Basic.
What was your favorite experience at NASA SHARP?
I would have to say my favorite experience was going to watch the WNBA game between LA Sparks and Seattle Storm. It was my first time going to watch a professional basketball game in a huge stadium. It was really fun cheering for them too. I was on the verge of losing all of my voice, but I luckily got I got it back the same night.
