INTRODUCTION

I have taught Quantitative Chemical Analysis lectures and supervised the associated labs for the past two years. I also have experience in teaching Instrumental Analysis and General Chemistry. At CSULA, my primary teaching responsibility is teaching Instrumental Analysis (Chem 461). I will also be involved in instructing Quantitative Analysis (Chem 201).

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Applying electrochemical (voltammetry at chemically modified electrodes and scanning electrochemical microscopy) and spectroscopic (mass spectrometry and inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry) methods to determine environmentally and biologically important species. Biosensor development. Kinetic studies of fast electrode reactions using fast-scan voltammetry and scanning electrochemical microscopy.
