Norma Goddard

I am an elementary school teacher who has decided to learn about using computers in a classroom. Since my graduation from San Jose State, I have been teaching various grades at the elementary level. My teaching career began by substituting for various school districts. After a few months, I was able to get a job for the Moreland School District.

My husband wanted to pursue his dream of designing automobiles. So, when he was accepted in the Industrial Design Department at The Art Center College of Design, we packed everything up and moved to southern California. I was lucky to find a job teaching fifth grade at Cerritos Elementary School in the Glendale Unified School District. Currently, I am teaching a second and third grade class at Lincoln Elementary School.

I am married and have two children. Our life is hectic. So I decided to complicate our lives further by going back to school. I've discovered that I really like computers and that while they are challenging, I like the problem solving that it takes to create programs on them.

Teaching and getting children excited about mathematics is fun for me. In my spare time, I also enjoy reading and going to the beach.
