Sea urchins are spiny-skinned animals. They are sometimes called sea hedgehogs. Their bodies are round and covered with movable protective spines. The spines are tough and sharp and can hurt if you should step on them. Sea urchins move about on their tube feet. They eat various types of organic matter, such as plants and some animals.
