INTRODUCTION

I began teaching at CSULA after a career as a social studies teacher, high school principal and urban superintendent. I have taught as an adjunct at the University of Wisconsin, National University, the University of New Mexico and UCLA. Since 2007, I have taught most courses in the Educational Leadership program. I have been involved in committee work at the division, college, university and chancellor level. My outside work includes publishing, editing and leading in professional organizations.

TEACHING INTERESTS

The relationship of neuro scientific based learning to learning system design is of most interest to me. I care deeply about leadership preparation, university resistance to change, nutrition aided learning, use of technology to improve learner led learning and future casting. I hope to merge the teaching work of educational leadership with relevant subjects in other colleges at this university.
