Professional Training

An emphasis of the College is on training working professionals to enhance their job skills and participate in growing job markets.  One example is our certificate program in Legal Interpretation and Translation (English/Spanish) that opens opportunity for bilingual students to meet an increasing need for qualified court interpreters in the California justice system. In the healthcare fields, several related programs prepare students to become eligible for certification as Pharmacy Technicians, EKG Technicians, or Medical Billing and Coding specialists.

For students interested in careers in law, we offer a long-standing, ABA- approved Paralegal Certificate program that will enhance the skills and professionalism of students to work at a high-level in virtually any legal setting. For persons working in  human resources, the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) Program enables the development of new skills and the obtaining of up-to-the-minute information in group benefits, retirement plans, and compensation management – ideal for advancing to a managerial position in the field.  Finally, even experienced professionals in their fields require continuing professional education to remain current on new laws and regulations affecting their practices.  We are pleased to sponsor a respected series of Accounting and Tax Seminars that meet this need for tax professionals, CPAs and attorneys, to earn continuing professional education credits while keeping their expertise current.
