Three-Summer Master of Music in Choral Conducting (MMCC)

By completing three seven-week summer residency sessions, together with 12 quarter units in regular terms at Cal State L.A. or another accredited university, working music teachers, international students and others with scheduling conflicts or location constraints can earn the Master of Music in Choral Conducting (MMCC) degree, accredited through the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). Each intensive summer session prepares the student in choral pedagogy, performance practice and applied vocal/choral training.

Summer Choral Festival

The Cal State L.A. Summer Choral Festival offers a week-long workshop of concerts, master-classes, rehearsals, and seminars for singers and conductors. The 2014 festival will focus on Baroque music from Italy, France and Germany.
