Hispanics in East Los Angeles were 97 percent (120,307) of the population, the highest for any place outside the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Other cities with majorities of Hispanics are shown on this slide.

Almost half (47 percent) of the population of Los Angeles was Hispanic.

New York City had the largest number of Hispanics, but its 2.2 million Hispanic population accounted for only about a quarter of the total population.
