POSITION: Lecturer: temporary faculty positions in the following languages with the possibility of renewal for additional quarters.   CHINESE       FRENCH        JAPANESE      KOREAN     SPANISH

STARTING DATE: On-going. Positions will be filled as needed for each academic quarter.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must have an appropriate degree from an accredited university (for upper division undergraduate courses- doctoral degree, or master’s degree; for lower division courses- master’s degree and substantial teaching experience; for graduate courses-doctoral degree and substantial teaching experience). Native or near-native speaking ability in the target language. Demonstrated excellence in teaching at a college level using proficiency-based approach. Applicants should have the ability to relate well to others within the academic environment, and demonstrate ability and/or interest in working in a multiethnic, multicultural environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Appropriate doctoral degree.

DUTIES: Faculty will teach courses and be available for office hours.

SALARY: Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
