Leopoldo Novoa is a member of Tembembe Ensamble Continuo. This Mexican ensamble has played with Jordi Savall, Lila Downs, Los Otros, and many other musicians around the world. Mr. Novoa is passionate about traditional music. He was a member of Chuchumbé (son jarocho group) when he started building and playing marimbol, an instrument of key importance in the development of Afro-Caribbean music.
